Biography

Dr. Lindsay Rite is a native to Vancouver although she began her post-secondary education in the United States where she held a full scholarship as a NCAA Div. I soccer player. She continued her education at the University of British Columbia where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences. She attained her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from CMCC, where she was heavily involved in research, professional and mentorship initiatives. Upon graduation she was recognized with multiple awards for not only her academic and clinical excellence, but also her altruistic contributions to the profession.

Following her NCAA career, Dr. Rite continued her passion for sport not only as an athlete but also as a Kinesiologist and Doctor. Most recently working within the context of Athletics as a medical practitioner for the 2015 Pan American Games, Harry Jerome International Track Classic, Simon Fraser University training camp and other community and high level sporting endeavours.

In addition to her involvement in sport, Dr. Rite is experienced working within the context of a hospital-based, multidisciplinary family practice. She was part of the inaugural chiropractic team selected to manage patients at one of Canada’s first hospital-based interprofessional care clinics in St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, Ontario. She continues to emphasize collaboration through her daily work as a Chiropractor in an interdisciplinary team and as a member of the IST for various sporting organizations.

Dr. Rite continues her interest in public health and professional research with continued development in the area including community lecture series and outreaches. She is trained in a diversity of manual therapy techniques as well as exercise and rehabilitative therapies and believes strongly in empowering her patients and the public through providing evidence-informed, patient-centered care.
